Bravo Functional Therapy
by Becka Bravo
Becka Bravo, Licensed Clinical Manual Therapist and Functional Movement Specialist, created Bravo Functional Therapy under a single philosophy—a realization that properly functioning individuals thrive with a higher level of functional care. With over 20 years dedicated to the study of the human body, human movement, and healing therapies, Becka's clinical mindset and expertise extend to functional and corrective therapies, offering a private, personalized approach.
Recognizing the uniqueness of each client, Becka's work revolves around discovering what structural integrity and functional sustainability mean to individuals. Having worked extensively with high-performing individuals, she understands the diverse iterations the human body can encompass. Collaborating with clients and their healthcare teams, Becka adapts her approach to the ever-evolving state of health, aiming not only for clients to feel good on her table or move with integrity on the mat but to move exceptionally through life.
Becka's qualifications include a Bachelor's of Science from DePaul University in 2004, certification, and professional licensure from The Soma Institute of Clinical Manual Therapy in 2005. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to a 200 RYT in 2020, with ongoing yoga certification and mentorship with Stacy Dockins of The Yoga Project, focusing on biomechanically informed functional yoga.
More than just a massage therapist, Becka specializes in Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy and holds certifications in pre/post/peri-natal massage and Manual Lymphatic Drainage. Each session is clinically minded, emphasizing individualized embodied posture and structural integrity. Notably, Becka's continual curiosity and passion for education shape a therapeutic experience that goes beyond the table, helping clients move through life in excellence.
